Pork and Beans!

I've been trying to put gutters on our house after saying we need them for the last seven years. For practice, I decided to start with the lower front porch roof. Hanging guttering is one thing. Hanging it straight is another. Hanging it so that it has a slight grade to the downspout while keeping it from looking too crooked on a roof that slopes the wrong direction is a feat. Contrary to what I believed, long strings of swearing do not help it hang straighter. Its a common myth. At least when this section is done, I'm certain I'll be an expert and ready for the two story parts. I've already got some really good strings of cursing saved up for it (just in case!).

On a complete side note, Weezer is awesome! I love the Pork and Beans video from their new Red Album. It's a very creative use of popular youtube videos. They actually flew in all of the orignal people for a 4 day video shoot too. I totally need more youtube videos of myself so I can become famous. I wonder if Weezer could have used someone standing on a 12ft ladder swearing at guttering in their song.

Kid free!

So.. my wife's aunt offers to keep the kids overnight yesterday. Awesome!! Kid-free evening! What do we do on our kid free evening you might ask? Well... we eat dinner on the living room floor watching tv. Then we go out to the mall where we end up shopping for our kids. I'm pretty sure I read that one in a book once... "You might be a parent if..."


On a completely side note, I think I achieved a new level of white and nerdy today. All I can think of is Weird Al's White and Nerdy themesong now to describe it.
